Hi, I am a DIYer but have a good knowledge of electrics. The new units both have standard 13A plugs fitted to supply cables.
Do I have to have a dedicated supply fed via 6mm sq cable? I have assumed it is not acceptable to connect them to a ring main?
I live in a bungalow and I have to retile so alterations to electrical supplies are no problem. If I want to use the existing supply can I join to the existing cable.
I would solder the joins, stagger them and use heat shrink insulators.

a double socket behind on the ring is fine its got 2x13a outlets .unless your planning on having all 4 hobs on full at same time and oven on full for hours then yes i would run in a 6mm that way in the future can fit more powerful hob aswell.
