Thanks, both are eicnic registered and I have checked on the website, part p self certified competent etc. I know one of them too.

The EIC and EICR seem a debated topic on IET forums.

Since the EIC was amended about 3 years there "appears" not to be much difference between an EIC and an EICR .................... but there is a huge difference.

There is no debate about installation work - you issue a MWC or a EIC

If you are reporting on the condition of a property - you issue an EICR.

Hope that makes sense.
