Hey,

I am qualfied electrician looking to work on the Railways, I contacted Railway People about obtaining a PTS CARD, they told me to ring some agency, rang them, hadn't got a clue, rang lots of other agencys, etc and everyone keeps giving me another number to ring or just doesnt know.

Does any of ye out there know how I go about getting a card. If ye could help me as much as possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Hi James.

I used to do a lot of subbing to Network Rail, is this what you intend doing??

If so then by law they have to put you through your Personal Track Safety course. I went a step further and sat the Sentinel exam aswell as I was in charge of some other sparkies who were also subbing.

If you have contacted Network Rail or Amey or any of hte others and they've offered you work then they cant let you anywhere near the track without putting you through the PTS first, the onus is on them.

Cheers.
