I think it's the reflection on the back row that makes them look out of line.
 
A chap I know who became an electrician after several years as some kind of roving consultant chef for Waitrose insists that one cannot have too much light in a kitchen and at that it should be "daylight" / 6,000K bulbs as well.
 
The correct lighting levels can be achieved in many ways, this just happens to be in a, well, crap way
 
Sounds like a man who likes high lumen levels
Leds are not best for high lumen work
The best would be hid lights
high in output but not high in heat
