how to test continuity if?

hi,

how would we test contunity of the CPC if we were using SWA and using one of the SWA cores as the CPC?

would we simply do a contunity test from each end of the cpc cable

generally, i would link L and E at 1 end and measure R1+R2, or use a wander lead and measure R2.

should we disconnect at both ends first?

Only if you haven't got any crocodile clips, general advice is to leave things as they are, more disconnecting/tampering means more chance of introducing faults.
