Discuss How to wire a 3 way switch, the unconventional way in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi all,

I am hoping someone could settle this for me.

I would like to know if it is possible to wire a 3 way switch, where the master switch is feeding 2 slave switches separately, i.e. rather than going Switch 1 > Intermediate Switch 2 > Switch 3, it goes Switch 1 > Switch 2, and Switch 1 > Switch 3?

Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks in advance!

Yes. There was actually a similar question the other day.
Have a look at this thread:

where the master switch is feeding 2 slave switches separately

What is meant here by master and slave? How many loads are being controlled separately?
