Cut meter tails and other thick cables

Junior hacksaw

Or

Nibble with side cutters until all the way through

??

that's a bit like saying if you didn't have shoes, would you hobble on the cobbles?

I’m guessing you ain’t got an angle grinder......or is that just me?....

Hacksaw for me for large cables like SWA cores if not the luxury of ratchet croppers.
I suppose a junior for smaller tails if not got any croppers to hand, but I always do so I wouldn't know really. Cheap enough to have a few pairs.

When the shears or ratchet cutters were awol I have resorted to Hacksaw, angle grinder or even jigsaw in the past.

I'm one of those weird people who still uses a jigsaw for some trunking work.

Other than the horrendous noise, what's the problem with using a jigsaw on trunking? Tool for the job in many circumstances?

That's even worse!! I own a multitool, bit it's one of those bits of kit that are definitely in the 'emergency, nothing else can do it' category! Very very useful, occasionly! I hate the racket so much I try not to use it!
Been on jobs where they don't stop all day, sends me nuts!

Yep! Ummmmmmmmm yep! Agian? And agian untill I enter 5 words when one would’ve been sufficient to convey what I wanted to reply

Almost forgot, have some Rothenburger plastic pipe cutters that i use for YT2 in the summer, in winter will shatter it rather than cut.
