Hi guys. Does anyone know if its right that an induction hob has to go on its own circuit or can it still share a circuit with another appliance? OSG saying up to 15Kw from a standard 32A supply. Cheers

The rating you are quoting (15kw) and the diversity permitted, would be the maximum that the 32 amp circuit would be designed for
If this was feeding another piece of equipment, then the maximum demand of that circuit may exceed the rating of the cpd
For cookers or hobs above 2kw I would use a dedicated circuit
Below this level it would depend on load factors of the kitchen and/or household appliances and the circuits existing
If it was a new installion then I would use a dedicated circuit whatever size the cooker/hob

Don't know the spec for the hob have just been informed that this customer wants an induction hob and single oven, but a friend has told me that induction hobs must always go on their own circuits. Just want to check if that was true or not. If not i can just do my calcs as normal.
