bit of an update removed the tiles and such, will need to remove the light from the wall, was thinking how do i get the switch wire to the white JB or to connect to the new light that i will install in the middle of the ceiling? or where I removed the light do i just connect the wires into a wago or the maintence free joint box that you mentioned, have them pushed back into the wall then have it plastered over?

If you are removing the wall light I suspect that cable will pull up out of the capping. Any joints you need to extend the cables need maintenance free joints.

yh i think i just remove the light, from the wall and then connect the cable thats coming from the jb into the wall with the switch wire thats going into the light do I use wagos, or should i get a maintenance free jb tape it up and leave it in the wall to get plastered over

Is there not an electrician that can help you?
Is this your own home?
an electrician did come down but he was assigned to installing other things and he was on the clock he just advised that with the new light we're installing use the cable from the light we removed from the other wall, you could see it in the picture where it loops back clipped on the beam, but he didn't know we were removing the light on the other wall aswell. So just trying to see what wire I need to use to install the new light.
3955c8d0c7f3e2af8bf97703aa62b40d.png so this was the wire we removed it from the other fixing light which was ont he other wall and he told us to use this. but we're disconnecting the other light from the other wall thats the only light left thats in the room so im assuming the switch wire is connected to that one?

and yes it is, wouldn't be doing this to a customers house haha not that i'm employed as an electrician or anything i just did my level 3 about 5-6 yrs ago and just started getting back into electrics doing bits and bobs.
