Discuss Inverter connected on the "Load" of an MTTP controller, is that alright? in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi,

I have a client whose inverter is connected on the "Load" of his MTTP controller.

I am wondering whether that's alright in terms of maximal draw: could the MPPT controller be damaged if the inverter draws too much current? (the cables are big enough to carry the current, but I'm not sure about the MPPT controller)

Second question: is it good practice? Or would it be better to have it connected directly to the batteries?
