Was thinking the other day about how you need to have an isolator for a extractor fan.

Would anyone agree that you would also require one for say a mirror light/shaver light??

Fan isolator is there for maintenance purposes same as a shaver light has a pull cord and a diffuser that when removed cuts power via a microswitch for maintenance so it would need/warrant its own isolator

Good question... I would venture to suggest that it would be good practice to be able to isolate ALL fixed equipment ... especially when the RCD starts tripping...

the fan only requires an isolator so that you can have the light on with the fan isolated.

Slightly different idea but I also wondered if it would be ok to double up on the load side of a fan isolator to supply an illuminated mirror?
