hi,

Looking for an IDC punch down connector block similar to a 1x9 telephone bridging module in an enclosure that can be used to join up the cat5 cables for a door entry system.

Any ideas if such a thing is available?

Alternatively how do people connect up the multitude of cat5 cores neatly, I really don’t like the choc block and adaptable box approach that I have seen before and was hoping there was something neater out there.

Krone block or gel crimps.

Most systems use alarm cable or even flex.
Larger system that require data transfer, generally use existing data networks, to link individual door controllers to a central point.
It’s similar to fibre optics.
The network uses fibre, but the final connections from the green boxes are done in copper.
