Hi guys

As the title says, other than Wiska junction boxes, what are the alternative junction boxes you use that are of equal quality and price?

I’m a big fan of pratley boxes..
Got to use all the correct glands though..
I also still use compound rather than the gel..

Bit puzzled, if you want something that is of equal in function, price, and quality of a wiska box, why not use a wiska box ?

Sorry maybe I didn't word my question properly. the nearest suppliers to me (within 2 miles) are Screwfix & Toolstation and they don't stick Wiska, so just wanted to gain some knowledge of alternative junction boxes. ( nearest Wiska stockiest is a good drive away from me)

If you are near screwfix, they have lots of options...it all depends on what it is to be used for...

the Schneider ones are megga cheap, and perfectly ok for, say outside lighting, if fixed under soffits etc and for normal use in lofts...
if you want to bury outside, that's a different scene. I like the Wago weatherproof ones, but they are quite expensive

Aye, better choice and cheaper online too. For example my local wholesaler only gets the ones in with the screw connector strip included. You can get them without connectors for cheaper.
I think the full unit comes with the 5 way connector block and clip strip, this is for the smaller unit, always worth having if you are a jobbing sparks, I just mess around at home and have a few in my "stores"

If it’s for outdoor use I always make sure the boxes have exterior fixing holes.. No need to drill holes in the box and undermine it’s ip rating

I always buy these
32 Amp Weatherproof Junction Box - IP65 - https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/LB9045.html
I find them good quality, price is ok and they are easy to work with.
Screwfix sell them but they are a bit more so I just buy in bulk from TLC every now and then to avoid the delivery charge.

Ps.. Just noticed Richard's post in #16. I think they are the same ones.
