£117 including a van/roof clamp for said ladders . Pukka I thought . Then realised they are likely to get rusty

on top of van and have to find a home out of the wet for them

Reading with great interest, cant find info on ladder max life as Ive always been in the position of regular inspectiond to ascertain safe continued use. As for the colours have a look at Ladders Direct for their spin. Just need to get my ar$e in gear and buy a proper ladder.............. Thanks for all the supplier links

Does thgat include fibreglass ladders aswell....they only seem to mention aluminium and wood???

What type of ladder are we talking about. Shouldn't go rusty if left on the van.

Saw my plasterer mate again today, the ruling on stepladders having a use by date is genuine, he is digging out the source for me. It would appear that Health and safety can jump on the personal safety of self mployed people as well (I know we are duty holders for others etc ) because we get treated for free as well by the Nat. Health. lol.

The only use by date I know of is a next inspection date (a sort of PAT test for ladders) if they don't pass then they are broken up.
