Landing light comes on flickers then stays on

Suggestions / solutions please anyone?
I have a 2 way switch, Hall and Landing, power being fed on Landing. When the switch is turned on, the downstairs light is OK, but the landing light comes on flickers on and off twice then stays on. I have attached rough drawing. Thanks for your input?

What type of lamp is it?
that would not be unusual for a compact fluorescent lamp.

Thanks for coming back to me, actually I have found out the reason, a bit of a schoolboy error really, should have known. The LED was a HIVE lamp that was not on the HIVE network so I'm assuming the flicker was the lamp searching for a connection. Changed to standard LED and all's well!! Thanks for showing interest though.
