Hello folks

does anyone know about fitting LED downlights in an insulated ceiling?

I know they dont generate much heat but what about the DC tranny?

Also can I power 3x3 Leds from one 11w tranny via a jb, if so what cable on the DC side?

We just had the exact same problem today, and the surveyer had absolutely no problem with us using led fittings in a dormer roof, we had no room hardly, and virtualy thats all he would let us use.
What wattage are your led fittings you want to run off an 11w trany,

Thanks johnny3x3 watts My main concern is the heat from the tranny and the cable on the DC side

3x3= 9 in my book, can,t see a problem mate.

We had tranys as well hardly any heat at all mate.

.5 a bit small mate as you probably know as the volts go down the amps go up, we would use 1.oomm or 1.5 if the connectors lend the selfs to it, cause mostly these days the connectors are foreign rubbish and the cables don,t go in, if it will take the 1.5 use that.
