UK Light switch or pull cord in WC

300mm across and 'standard' height will put it a reasonable distance from the switch.
There is no zoning around basins in bs7671 in the same way as there is around baths/showers.

Have I missed something here? I thought in a bathroom, no switch gear is permitted within the zones? A pull cord switch or switch outside the zone is the only thing permitted?
it’s classed as a special location isn’t it?

It's not a bathroom location as per section 701 that is in question here. It's a WC room.

Sorry, my bad - it was late!! In that case, I would treat it similar to a kitchen with the switch at the relevant distances from the basin and at the correct heights
