Line noise

I have a customer who's powered hifi speakers are picking up a buzz?

Could this be caused by line noise, if so how can you test for line noise and how can it be solved?

Does any one have any ideas.

First of all check the speaker cable installation is it running parallel to mains cables ,
have you checked all the earth connections!

I have not yet visited the customer (Tuesday) I need to go armed with as much info as possible, your suggestions are a good start.

If they are active speakers or connected via a wireless bridge other equipment coould also cause this problem,
Did gig once and took us two hours to rid of radio 4 (picking it up on fold back link)
