Came across this today in a property no idea if asbestos or not so told client put all floor back and tried to minimise disturbance as much as possible
Absolute nightmare trying to organise a asbestos inspection without waiting weeks
Property is 1890 build flats and this is only in two rooms insulating between flat below

Obviously not original insulation

Anyone got an idea of what it might be
Property not been touched since 1976 so pre this date

Its a purpose built block of apartments in West London
The flat is on the 5th floor and its between the 4th and 5th floor in living room and 1 bedroom
Its in every joist gap i could see so I do not think its from a cavity
I thought it could be for sound but no idea if they used asbestos for that or just as insulation
There does not seem to be that much help or information for when you do potentially come across asbestos
A helpline would be very useful

You can remove that comment it was a joke a bad one

I've removed your post and my reply. Sorry SES, any other thread I wouldn't be worried by a joke or banter but with asbestos I'd rather not take the chance that someone sees it as serious advice.
