Doing an eicr and came across this....just beggars belief that in 2005 when this was installed someone actually did this looked at it and went

its alright if it was that many moons ago, the person doing that install probably hadnt been on a 5 week course to get qualified. we should be grateful that there are now lots of providers of training to join a part p scheme.

i think it was to provide the homeowner with a bit of 'buzz' before he left for work each morning... (apparently he was tasked with writing the 18th regs)... so perhaps he needed it???

Scary thing is is that someone did an eicr back in 2014...and didnt catch it.
The installer had stuck a nice nic eic approved sticker on it...so you know they we're clearly professional.
