We recently had a single phase HV failure at our local substation with the result that the phase feeding our house dropped to about 88V. Interestingly, when I checked around the house a number of lights still worked: 60W filament GLS (red glow), some 7W LED lamps (nothing), other 7W LED lamps (worked normally), DAB radio in kitchen (worked normally!).
Looking into it I assume those LED lamps which worked normally had decent switch mode power supplies (and the DAB radio) while the others just had a cheapo voltage divider system or whatever. Something to think about when I replace lamps in future.
