Interesting... did you ask them why they have a version that limits battery options ? And how does the unit know ? Is it part of the "ID" pin ?Alright just called service centre, the BHR will take maximum 3ah batteries, and nothing higher powered. DHR can put in any size. The BHR are cheaper second hand and thats why !
