Looks like the black in the connector is an earth, and they've borrowed a neutral for the light.....tut tut! Obviously no rcd on it!
 
Where's that coax going.?....might as well connect that into the shambles too!
 
Boy oh boy. Whoever committed this atrocity should be arrested by the electrical police and charged with aggravated botchery.
