Discuss MCB max load for an oven (EICR) in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net
I want to check the rules when doing an EICR for MCB size for ovens. My mate says i should fail an installation because there is a 40 amp MCB on oven rather than a 32 amp. Is he right?
I'm not sure. Made no sense to me. I'll ask him tomorrow and post his reply. That's why I wanted to check the rules to see if it had something to do with the max consumption of the oven. Has anyone got a link to the rules so I can have a read?Nope, a 40A MCB on a cooker feed is not an automatic fail. Why does he say it is?
