Measuring Wheels

Hi,

Do any of you ever use a measuring wheel for runs of SWA in gardens and the like? For example, like the one below.

nope, used a 50m tape or paced it out before

Have done on caravan parks and the like with extremely long runs. Just for standard garden stuff I normally just pace it out.

just wondered really as have a number of jobs coming up at over 50m, i know its not much, but have been known to mis measure before on long runs.

always paced it. was great till these stupid frog metres came on the scene. split me bloody keks a few times.

I have a measuring wheel somewhere but I hardly ever use it because it's a bit bulky to carry around unless you're doing a lot of surveying in one place. I usually use a 200m steel tape measure I picked up at a car boot sale for next to nothing. Looks a bit like this.

Up to 60m I use my Bosch laser measure, above 60m I send the apprentice for a walk!!!

Have had one yes when worked for BT, needed it when faulting on diss's an loop fault connections.
