Motor circuits and certification

What tests and certification do you do for motors supplied via a motor control panel, DoL, soft starts, VSD, star delta, etc?

For the supply to the panel or starter a standard BS7671 set of tests.
For the outgoing circuits test according to the requirements of the designer.

I've often wondered about this too.

How useful are earth fault loop impedance tests/measurements when the motor has a VSD? I presume the fault current is severely limited by the inverter, so the phase fuses in the panel are just to protect the panel itself?
