Hi everybody, I'm new here, I thought this may be the place to ask if anybody has done similar, I came out of college after doing my level 3 2365 and 17th Edition, I've been working in security installation for 7 years, cctv, intruder, access etc etc, however I would ideally like to get more in to the "sparkying" full time, could anybody recommend the best way to do this, my big stumbling block I can see is gaining an NVQ, as my day to day work doesn't cover a lot of what needs putting in the portfolio, I would be willing to get on somewhere as an improver if that's a viable option.

Thanks

Lee

not so much drying up but....

1. Domestic side is cut-throat race to the bottom. Too many corner cutting cowboys to compete with.
2. New build is bang it in as quick as possible at the lowest hourly rate the developer can get away wirth.
3. Costs of everything from cable upwardsthrought the roof. We now have to fit type A RCDs instead of type AC. £30 more expensive.

on the bright side though, the industrial sector is far better, there the criteria are not sao much cost, as to do it right.
