I'm a total amateur so apologies in advance for any stupid question. I have a white box with a tiny timer button which you can turn from 1 minute to 40 minutes - it's fixwd next to a fused switch which I think controls an under floor heating thermostat - does this make sense to anyone?

A photo would help...

Is it electric underfloor heating? Is it for a bathroom? Is there an electric towel radiator in the room? (<40 minutes on any of these is next to useless anyway to be fair)
