Hi Guys
Hope this is in the right place...
I have recently joined NAPIT and had my assessment. We are a limited company of two qualified electricians.
When I have logged into NAPIT-Online, I can see myself (the person whom was assessed) on the operatives list. I can't add another operative to it, and upload their qualifications etc.
I contacted NAPIT and they said they don't operate like that and that every operative would have to be assessed individually for the full assessment fee.
I have been a sub contractor on other peoples NICEIC. On their online certification portal, you are created as as a user along with your test instrument and calibration certificates. You can then fill out certificates that then await the QS approval. With the NICEIC schemes it seems that the scheme user is left to be responsible for assessing the competence of their users with the final say being handled by the appointed QS who is assessed by the NICEIC themselves.
This seems to make much more sense to me.
Any certificate that we produce will have my name on it, and no one elses.
How do companies with 10+, 20+, 40+ employees operate with NAPIT; or is the answer that they don't?
Just wondering whether anyone has any experience of this?
Thanks
