Ok a puzzle::confused:

A fused neon switch supplys a toilet masticator,
when the fused neon switched is turned off the neon light is still illuminated though dimmer than when on.

Why would this be?

Its probably a capacative discharge causing the neon to glow
But check the incoming and load neutrals are not mixed This could also make it glow if there is a low n-e insulation on the load
Shorting out the load side should clear it for your observation only (with the supply isolated obviously )

Check The supply and Load Neutrals are not mixed up, I'v came across this before a couple of times. Could be back feed from supply Neutral as previous post sated.
