G'day,

I'm Phil, newly qualified after an unexpected medical discharge from the Army at my 20 year point. I'm bravely/stupidly going out on my own, I know a lot of you don't like us "do a 5 week course and I'm a sparky" types but I do have 20 years of vehicle mechanical and electrical experience so hoping you'll treat me good;). Anyway, I know my limits but love this job so far and hoping as time goes on I can pop on here for help, support and to share c*$k ups (like removing and refitting an outside light 3 times then realising I was flicking the wrong light switch to turn it on:D).

Cheers,

Phil

wasps were good to me last summer. nested in the lawn mower grassbox in the shed. i had a whole summer with an excuse not to mow the lawn. downside was, we lost 2 chihuahuas for a week in the long grass.

Had loads of wasps nests last year. They were straight into a shed we were renovating. Fortunately we had a Romanian lad working with us who just placed a plastic bag over the nest and removed it. Put us all to shame. Even had nests in the ground but fortunately a local badger came round one night and dug them all up to eat the larvae.

Assumed the badger was local, didn’t ask him where he was from. Suppose he could have also been from Romania
