Hi all,

I am fully qualified to 18th edition, hold a current JIB card and 2391.

I’m currently working in a college however I want to explore my options for my spare time, what are my only options if I was to carry out any notifiable work I.e cu change/ new circuit etc…

Before this job, I worked for the same company for 20+ years and they always sorted these things for us.

Thanks in advance 😀

If you are going to be carrying out notifiable work regularly for yourself then maybe consider joining a cps scheme, NIC, Napit etc. Another option would be to use someone on a cps scheme that can sign off 3rd party work for you. Either way will be costly for a sideline.

This is only my opinion and other members may have a better answer for you. Good luck and I hope all goes well whatever you decide to do.
