I've only just read this thread and I think Elecsa should take some responsibility also ,allowing an incompetent like this in!
I simply don't believe that this lad could have provided them with a decent enough install and correctly filled out paperwork to warrant his being accepted into their club
Absolute disgrace!
And as others have pointed out proof that the CPS scheme isn't working!

Not been on in a while and this is one of first posts Ive read took me a while to read it all inc all the great photos showing his amazing work dont think he could have done more wrong if he tried lol
I cant believe you have got Elecsa to listen perhaps they realise how far it could go Part p as been a joke from beginning and the purely money orientated you dont here from them until its pay day each year as for promoting Part P and scheme mebers I havnt seen any since it started
Good on ya mate hopefully the customer will get a positive outcome especially a large refund inc compensation

I wouldn't be getting any hopes up just yet, Elecsa could well end up doing absolutely Nothing!!
They will do what is best for Elecsa, NOT the members customer and NOT the member, and if that means doing nothing, that's what they will do!! They are unfortunately all the same, fobbing any perceived responsibility off until it becomes a legal issue or the media gets involved.
The so-called insurance cover that is so often bandied about to the hilt to promote the scams, can leave you hanging for weeks and weeks and weeks before anyone see's a penny of it, and more often than not, it'll be the members insurance company that coughs up first, rather than the Scams insurance!!

Ok, so Elecsa were supposed to be coming out today with said Cowboy to go through it all, this was booked a couple of weeks ago.
The customer had booked a day off work for this..

uk I don't deal a great deal with all the scams as I'm out of it as far as all that carp goes, but I do understand, and good luck in your endeavors, all the best mate give em hell.

Yes it seems they are good at taking your money but not much else bit like JIB
Pay my money beginning of October around the 10th
First year they came within 4 weeks as they should
second year it was about 6 weeks or so
Last year they came 23rd December even though at the latest my renewal should be 3rd Nov
By the time the certificate came it was January
It says annual renewal 4th nov certificate valid until 31st January seems they are leaving plenty time to allow for assessment
By the time it came and I wanted to renew my JIB white ECS card for Qualified supervisor Part P for the sum of £8.50 a year I was to late, as the JIB say the certificate from ELECSA has to be dated within last 3 months to renew my card but if I was with NICEIC or Napit then it only has to be dated within last 12 month
I questioned and was told that this was part of the agreement that was made with ELECSA and other bodies when part P was set up
So if your ELECSA it has to be within 3 months which is different rules depending who your with
and they are under the illusion that as part of ELecsa we get assessed every 3 months again I thought WHAT THE ???? again I was told this was the agreement that was made with ELECSA and if it was any different I should contact elecsa
after many emails back and forth the odd phone conversation with my assessor last year, to JIB and ELECSA I was left still no wiser with any of it
Also when enquiring about the 3rd party certifier was informed they didnt think they was going to endorse it due to issues regarding warranty and liability
So being a member of a scam is costly at £444 a year plus insurances , calibration etc Its confusing with little in return and so as I havnt had many notifiable jobs thinking of not bothering renewing this year
which i contacted them about a week or so ago and still no reply

Ill run it all past the bloke from the NICEIC when he visits next week see what he says.
They might talk to me as my name is on all of the paperwork and main complain letter etc as I prepared it all on behalf of the customer.

I like how you make a point of that ha, please, please, do NOT tie us all with the same brush - i can assure you my work is a tiny bit better than this absolute monstrosity.
