Recently went online to report a fault with a street light and came across that the local council have an interactive web site that lets you report lamps (down to the column) and identify each one.

Thought it was pretty good.

Interesting to hear this. A few years ago the council, South Lanarksire, replaced all the street lights in the carpark behind my office. They were shiny LED ones and very bright. Obviously they would be "greener" too, if only they didn't stay on 24/7. I called the council, nobody knew who to direct my call to, so they asked me to email them, which I did. That was in April...and in October when I left that office they hadn't been fixed.
