Hi All,

An easy one for you guys I expect...

I have 6mm² to kitchen, RCD protected, B32.

I need to provide supply to an oven, hob (ignition only) and hood.

Oven and hob have plugs attached, hood doesn't, but I've seen elsewhere on this forum that one could be fitted (with a 3 amp fuse).

Is it allowed / safe simply to fit a triple socket to the 6mm² and then plug them all in? Seems like an easy solution to me, but I know that easy doesn't make it right.

The socket would be in a cupboard, but easily accessible.

If it's a no-no, what's the best way do you think?

Cheers

Perhaps I should have said, I won't be carrying this out myself, but I would like to ask my man how I want it if possible. Long story, but ikea cabinets, no service void, and don't want above counter sockets / spurs in this area.

Can your Man not answer the question...he will be doing the install and issuing a cert

If you mean by "triple socket" a product such as the MK Logic-plus 3 gang switchsocket, the spec for that is 13A total load, at which it is fused. Depending on the load of your oven, that socket might not be an appropriate choice, and I would let your electrician decide what to use.

i would take 6mm into cooker outlet with hob wire and a 2.5 going to a double socket next to it plug 13a oven in 3a hood in there
