Hi All,

Just looking for some rough pricing on what it should cost to have the below installed, I've been quoted the below by a commercial office fit-out company, prices feel well over the top...

14 x install of double sockets into existing galvanised multi-compartment trunking @ £96 each...
3 x RCBO's @ £65 each
8 x install of single data points (cat 6) into existing galvanised multi-compartment trunking @ £105 each...

depends on where in he counrty you are. here that would be about right. down south it's cheap. bear in mind that the galv. trunking lid needs cutting fo every outlet. all takes time.

Some companies (e.g. Unitrunk) make socket outlets for the galvanised trunking that save a lot of time, but the list prices are frightening! Ask your local wholesale place what sort of a deal they can do for you as discounts of 75%-ish on the list is not uncommon for that sort of item.

Doesn’t seam like a bad price to me. You’ll always find cheaper if you hunt hard enough

True, but getting it done correctly is more important in the long run.

Price sounds ok to me.

Totally agree. But there’s folk here that will complain that rewiring a house for £50 is expensive ?

If those prices are fixed prices inc all materials and Labour then they are cheap

without sight of scaled drawings, it is like guessing how long is a piece of string
from a cold read, it seems fair

Wouldn't say the prices are over the top. Actually cheap for certain places.
