Evening

I am still full time employed- but have registered SE and have my niceic assessment on the 29th bla bla

Any jobs that require it- i was planning on using my mate who is still an apprentice/improver
-he is not set up as SE etc as he is still full time employed himself and still training

when it comes to quoting for jobs if we were planning on going 50% 50% on the labor on the jobs he brings in

whats the best way to go about it

say for example said job was priced for £500 labor
I get £350 (my 50% +20% to cover his tax)
my mate gets £150 (his 50% -20% tax)

or go the other way and just price the job an 20% dearer to cover his tax cost and run the chance of being too expensive

I know that the CIS scheme is meant for this purpose- but I won't really be subbing- just the odd job for him to help me out

wondering how you guys go about this sort of thing...

thanks guys

Does your pl cover employees?

If you are going to do this consider the ramifications of your actions before you start taking money off clients!

dont have employee cover on pl
but dont intend to have employees really- just the odd bigger job to help when I need 2 pairs of hands..
