I’m looking to buy some PVC Conduit for some security lights rather than clip the cable. We don’t use it in work. But I know I need 20mm conduit but would I be okay using 20mm inspection elbows? I assume they just fit inside?

Coming across the gate is tricky but not impossible you may be able to fit some girder clips.
Or some half saddles screwed between the two metal flats.

Not sure the girder clips will work looking at the gate again the tube will fail on the upright rods. Half saddles may work but could be tricky to secure.

IMO it is going to be extremely inconvenient having a conduit run across the top of a gate, carrying anything through the gate of any height is going to cause you problems, i.e. carrying a ladder through to clean the windows of clean out the gutters, bite the bullet now and cut chase and bury the conduit in the path.

It's already got that metal arch thing over the top of the gate to get in the way when carrying things through it, attaching a conduit to it won't make it any worse than it already is from that respect.

Just noticed the size of this thread about running a bit of pvc conduit.
Is there any chance that metal arch thing was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel?

I know a lot of people with arch over a gate. It came with the gate. The old SWA was cable tied to the top of the gate and bottom of the arch.
