Question re Neon Testers

Sorry lads but I can't have all this negativity about these little beauties their little hearts glow when u touch anything lol also they're priceless for marking out boxes in thermal blocks.

Scanned copy of instructions for neon. Just remembered this one is in a toolkit in the garage and the top wont screw of to remove the bits from the inside. (will put in bin) Never used never will be used. Love the way it tells you it wont work if you are on a wooden ladder

That point about a wooden ladder was made in jest but on a serious note, nowadays with all the fiberglass (and other safety type) step ladders around which are rated as non-conductive to 1000v this would be one of the biggest reasons not to use these neon screwdrivers.

don`t go posting them in the post office in the st johns ctr. i nearly ended up with an armed responce unit and a MI5 interrogation at christmas. she put it on the side next to her comp and till and it started glowing in the packet and making a right racket her face was a picture and my explanation of what a volt stick was quick to follow before i felt a cold barrel on the back of my neck
