Welcome to the forum. Can you give a bit more info as to how you are testing the device.

What test were you doing?
What do you mean by fail?

Need a little bit more information from you to give a decent answer.

It comes up as fail on kewtech meter, before performing any of the tests
What model of meter, how have you connected the test leads, what sort of RCCB is it?

Easier for us to give a concise answer if we aren't spoon fed information.

Give as much as you can.

Jay we been to know the meter make and model, is it an rcbo or rcd main switch and whether the fail is immediate and what does the meter indicate.

It thought it might be cause some of the loads where still connected, but when testing a rcd , u can normally still carry out the test with loads still connected.
