I know it says wiring, theories and the regulations within in the uk here , but can anyone tell me the difference and how major it is in spain as i thought there was some harmonisation .I have just started training in the uk (c&g level 2) and wondered how similar things are there .Can anyone help?

Jules27 I have worked in Spain as a spark and there is quite a lot of difference in the quality of workmanship to the UK.

Harmonisation is still happening so I think it maybe a while before all the EU countries get it right.

If you are looking to work in Spain as an electrician I would advise you to continue with your training here in the UK.

Hi warren i may looking at working in spain in the future are there domestic installations much different from ours since harmonisation

Andy my experience there was more Industrial than domestic but lets says the standard of workmanship is somewhat less than ours. :(

I'm really not sure about that, maybe he means a spanish regulations type course?

If your qulaifications here are more recent i.e. C&G2330 then I believe they are an European Qualification as we have now merged with the EU and they replaced the older C&G2360

It is ironic that you have been speaking with a basque, when I did some work in Spain (a while ago now) it was in Bilbao. Very much a basque part of Spain. :)
