Good day

I’m doing an electrical course online with RIC ( routes into construction) I just want a little insight information about them whether they are legit or not. There’s some red flags such as; no reviews about them, their social media either has 20 following or they have one at all. If you had heard had an experience with them please let me know.

The website doesn't say where they are,
or exactly what courses they do, apart from the main subject,
or where they're Accredited fully equipped state of the art training centres with workshops and classroom facilities are in the country.
or anything about their Expert tutors with many years industry experience

Company Routes into Construction was only registered in Jan 2021 and has submitted 1 yrs accounts, so have hardly got a long established successful background.

I'd give then a miss. a very wide miss.
Exploitative and Misleading – Avoid Routes Into Construction

My experience with Routes Into Construction has been nothing short of exploitative. They approved me for a course without conducting any financial assessment checks, despite knowing I was on a Debt Relief Order (DRO) at the time of enrolment. Having only worked a two-month agency job, I was in no position to commit to a long-term financial agreement, yet they still signed me up for a 12-month subscription service, fully aware that I was not financially stable.

The worst part? Even after acknowledging my financial hardship and that I am unable to gain any qualifications from the course, they continue to take payments for an extra three months beyond my initial contract. This situation has severely impacted my mental health, worsening my difficulties rather than providing any form of support or opportunity.

Instead of being a legitimate training route, this feels more like a profit-driven scheme designed to trap vulnerable individuals into unnecessary financial commitments. If you’re considering this program, think twice—this could be an expensive mistake with no real value in return.

I will look at legal options to see if they can be made accountable under the Consumer Rights Act, i hope noone else suffers from this company and they can't exploit people like they are doing.

Have you had any luck with this? Or any one else on here? I'm now applying for apprenticeships as I totally broke because of this course and at a loss on how to even cancel it without bailiffs knocking on my door
How did you get on with this?

It’s smart to be cautious. A legit training provider should have a clear track record, active social presence, and verifiable reviews. The lack of feedback and minimal online footprint for RIC definitely raises red flags I'd recommend double-checking with accrediting bodies or looking into more established alternatives.
