Hello,

I am currently working on a project that previously utilises a charger for a battery system that is connected via single phase 240V AC mains. The existing charger has the 15A inlet running through a 1P 16A schneider MCB with the active line connected to the MCB (with earth and neutral bonded with BP's), which then outputs to the charger.

My question is, is it possible to replace the regular 1P MCB with a 16A RCBO and if so, how is this wired? Specfically how can it be wired from the 15A inlet to the RCBO and RCBO to charger? I haven't installed an RCBO before and am unfamiliar with incorporated the neutral and earth line wires that come with the schneider RCBO..

with a RCBO, basically, you take the circuit N out of the N bar and feed from RCBO N. L is from RCBO L. then the RCBO tails go N to the N bar where you took the circuit N out. and the functional E (if fitted) goes to the E bar, preferably in same terminal as the E of the relevant circuit .
