Any recommendations on a screwdriver for roofing bolts? I’ve a 5.5mm flat head and an 8mm but they don’t seem to do it.

I’ve seen this below but it’s very expensive:

I’ve found this in B&Q I’ve just got wait for stock as none of the stores by myself have any:

The trouble you may have is that the blade is too fat to sit in the groove. I'd take a bolt into a store and have a good match-up before parting with two beers.

Not a bad idea. It’s mainly for bell boxes. The older ones have M6 bolts in them. I can’t see any slimmer tip screw drivers.

I have an old massive Stanley screwdriver with about a 11-12 mm slotted head which fits roof bolts perfect

I paid 20 pence for it at the local bootfare

No

Its an old 100 series acyclic handle one , its massive about 16 inches long

I also looked for an 11mm square socket for driving the typical roofing nuts, though in recent times I have got flanged nuts instead (oh-er!) that take a standard 10mm hax socket, etc.

Never found one, mostly square (or bi-square) sockets are massive impact things for the railway industry

I wouldn't pay £20-25 for it thou.

Roofing bolts now have 10mm serrated nuts with a PZ2 head now don’t they? Not seen old school ones for years.
