Hi there,

We have a small commercial laundry which we're told need to be re-wired. There is an old 3phase 3036 fused board and wiring in metal conduit.
We've been told that the switches etc should be IP rated but it most just a damp atmosphere rather than things getting really wet. What IP rated should we be looking at for switches etc?

The other things I'm not clear about is, each machine, like the 3 phase washing machine, has it's own fuses in the DB but also has a fused isolator fused at the small rating as in the main DB, Do we need fused isolators if we're moving to a MCB/RCBO phase DB or can we use IP Rated 3 phase rotary isolators?

Sorry if these seem simple questions, just trying to get my head round things so I have some idea of what I'm looking at.

What size machines do you have?
