Literally make Gn3 your bedtime reading everynight.

Aslong as you know your way around the regs, and study GN3 you honestly can't really go wrong.

Go to all your lessons and put some effort in at home and you will be ok. I didn't think I would pass the course but I did. 3 out of the 6 on my course failed it though.

Be one with GN3, get the terminology down to a tee and be able to write detailed descriptions of how to carry out ring finals, Zs testing, earth electrode testing, insulation resistance testing and the 3 different types of supply all with expected values, diagrams etc as atleast one of these will come up on your written and will be worth a large amount of your marks and will eat into your time in a big way so bullet points are the way forward and don't ramble either

As others have said
READ GN3 LOTS AND LOTS
Also read part 6 and 7 of regs especially 7 as special locations and zones etc comes up
also read GS38
Memorandum of guidance on elecy at work regs as I had a couple of questions on my 2391 regarding this you can download for free or buy

A lot of it is terminology

The names of the various Test instruments for different tests and there test values
Earth Fault loop diagrams
You will learn a lot of what is required from your course but keep reading GN3 as it will help a lot

Its a tough course no doubt, I had little experience with testing at the time but I read GN3 at every opportunity and passed. Just read and read that's all the advice I can give you. Good Luck
