Hi gents, have just started my own business but the prices for testing-inspection seems to range from about £50 to £250 for domestic premises here in west wales, i know is a bit cheeky but what prices should I expect to qoute not that I want to under cut anyone , just to know Im not flogging myself and fellow sparkies.

About £150 down here. I know of one guy who charges £55 per CIRCUIT!!!!

We charge £90 + VAT for a periodic inspection and it takes us about 1 and half hours to complete

And hour and a half for a periodic?:p

i've seen guys do it an hour

Mind they never even turned the power off:rolleyes:

What are you doing periodics on? Dolls houses?

Well said Shakey. 1 hour 30 minutes on a periodic is an utter p!$$ take. How anyone can complete a full periodic inspection report in that time is nonsence.

im glad you said that because i was thinking howwwwww!!!!!!!

there must be a hell of a lot of boxes marked lim or n/a or d/l (didnt look)

100 quid or if more than a 10 way 10 quid a circuit

I thought this site was for electricans not cowboys??? you could barely test the house in that time never mind inspect it. But its your name signed in the box not mine, good luck speedy.

My company (multi million pound co) charges £90 for a PIR which is charged at 3 hours labour. I wouldn't do it for that little though!

Here in the south I start at £150 & do outbuildings as extras, I aim to get done in 4 hours for a bog standard family home (3 bed place) why rush you'll only miss something.
Visuals I'm knocking out at £75.00 & normally take no longer than 45 mins Only testing I do is confirm main earth present / pfc/pscc / Ze or Ra.

1.5hrs for a full periodic yeh right & the report aint worth a tuppence, my guess is you use the 10% guide.

Any jobs going cirrus? multi million £ company I can only dream of it at the moment, but what would life be without dreams:D

Righty I'm off to the pub (ok it's only the fridge but I'm looking after the kids tonight while the other half is out)
