Hi, I am working on upgrading from two ballasts to one for one of my lights in my new basement (just purchased home). After removing the two ballasts and installing only one I realized that I have two sets of wires. On has a B&W and the other has a W&G. They’re both operated by two different switches. I am not sure how to connect the one ballast so that I can still use what I assume to be two three way switches. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

TL;DR
Three way switches??

850 welcome to the forum and for the first time I am speechless because there is so many things wrong like it looks like the green is being used for to conduct power, was the black in the one pipe wrapped around the ground screw or it looks like it. My advice to you is get an electrician with a meter to sort that out and hopefully phase tape the wires for their purpose. Sorry and good luck

thanks for the reply. I figured out the wires, the green was a hot wire, and I’ve seen stuff like this before when they use the wrong color. The solution was that they both have a hot and neutral wire, and the wall switch was a regular switch, but because the lights were wired in an inside and outside pattern they used two different hot wires. I called an electrician buddy of mine and he explained it to me.
