I wont miss, brick dust, rock wool, roof spaces, crawling under floors, chasing money, working in the cold, being up till all hours doing paperwork, paying £500 a year to Elecsa, and cigarettes.

Great advert for why you should bcome an electrician! You missed off knackered knees.

Good luck with your teaching.

When you're doing evenings at college, what do you do during the day?

Its full time days mate, not evenings. Wouldn't have taken it if it was evenings, interfere's with the social life too much.

At that 'learning center' (and I use that term very loosely) that you attended for your 2391, I saw some lads doing their AM2. I was shocked at the level of their competence. Not a single clipped cable was straight or sockets, t+e cable twisted and then clipped, holes big enough to put your fingers in on the c/u, loads and loads of things that would never pass a DIYers level and these lads are working for housing association companies! Just like others have said already, thank god you are teaching this and these lads can become a better tradesmen.

I'm not off to WSC its somewhere else, i will let you know where once i have started.

Cheers........Howard

How was your last day then Howard?

It dragged a bit, i lost a bit of interest, not made any easier cos i have sold the van and working out of the back of a Mondeo hatchback is not ideal. I like to have everything to hand when i am working, i hate having to break off just to go get some bits let alone driving 10 miles each way across Leeds cos i left my MFT in the kitchen. Anyway its done now, but i have just taken a job on for Sat morning, a CU and its very local, straightforward job, should be done by 1pm.

Cheers.........Howard

Howard so are you going to be teaching well thats a diffrent matter you wont even have to hold the pen just get the students to do so what may i ask are you teaching floristry or something similar

I will be teaching how to p*** plumbers off and how to make it really difficult for plasterers, and advanced causing inconvenience to kitchen fitters.:biggrin5:

No seriously i will be teaching and assessing NVQ level 1 and 2. Apparently the course content is quite basic, and this will help me concentrate more on delivering it rather than having to concentrate on more complex stuff, i will get a bit more advanced once i have found my feet with the delivering and assessing. I have to go on a couple of courses as well.

Cheers.............Howard
