As above can hear sound but the screen is all black any help

Switched off for 30 secs and back on?
HDMI lead not in properly or defective?

Done that just standard tv Freeview aerial have been told that it could be led backlights?

Can you get the menu up using the tv buttons and not the remote buttons?

no buttons on TV only remote cannot get the menu up (well if it is coming up it is not visible for the blank screen.

Out of guarantee tried the light thing did not see anything though.

Thanks for all that replied got a new one in the end well the old one was about 6 years old I think that it is a back LED lamp that has gone thinking of getting it repaired (depending on costs) and have as spare.

had similar.pic. was there but colours all wrong. backlight fault.verdict from TV repair man was beyond economical repar. i.e. FUBAR.

Someone on here or another forum described repairing his by replacing the led's .
I think it took him a day to get it apart and another day to put it back together.
It was just a small portable too , if I remember correctly.
